Time Will Tell — A diary of work #1
Time flies
“There is no bloody time!” a teacher at Lincoln University (school for arts & design, UK) used to tell us on a daily basis. The more I (Sjoerd Koopmans, founder Rich Dust) heard him say it, the more I realized that he was absolutely right. Not that you have to rush your work, but every given moment is a moment. It’s about how you use the time given. Even when I am resting, I am aware of the fact that time flies. The realisation makes me enjoy it more.
Time Will Tell — Overview
2005 until 2010
This book is more an archive than a portfolio. It not only shows my important ‘best’ projects, it also shows the important ‘not so best’ projects I’ve worked on, in chronological order. It has helped me visualize my developments and more importantly my mistakes.
The Timeline — gives dept to each page and information about the work date, time and place
Insights
Gathering work and placing it in chronological order creates a great overview. It makes the invisible visible. It shows development or stagnation. For me it makes it easier to take a direction and to make changes where needed.
